THE Kwara state chairman of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) Alhaji Ishola Balogun-Fulani has said that the party has not rejected anybody that wished to defect into the party in the state
Balogun-Fulani while speaking with newsmen on Monday in Ilorin, noted that APC would welcome whoever that was interested in becoming a member of the party.
The chairman was reacting to the purported rejection of the Federal Commissioner of the National Population Commission (NPC) in Kwara state, Alhaji Abubakar Ndakene by the party executive in Shonga Ward I of Edu local government area.
“We as a party has not rejected anybody and we will not reject anybody.
“I have said it in our meeting in Kwara Central that whoever wishes to join our party is welcome”, he said.
He, however, noted that all prospective decampees must do the needful and follow due process by going to the ward meeting to declare.
According to him, doing so will make it conform with the provision of the party constitution.
He added that no executive member should frustrate the coming of any interested person into the party, noting that the door was open to intending defectors.
He explained that the rumour making round that some were planning to block the coming of some defectors could not be true.
Speaking on the crisis in some state chapters of the party in the country, the former lawmaker said that the case was different in Kwara because there was a leader and a system of operation.
“The secret while things are working well for the party in the State is because we have a leader and we have a system.
“That leadership resides in the Senate President. Everybody here, we are Sarakites and we belong to one family.
“We in Kwara here, we tag ourselves to one single family and that is while there is no problem.
