A Cleric, Pastor Ademola Popoola, has called on Christians to let the resurrection of Jesus Christ be meaningful in their life by living a transformed life spiritually and physically.
Pastor Popoola made the call on Sunday in his sermon delivered at the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Ilorin District Headquarters.
The Cleric, who spoke on the topic: “So what?” urged Christians to emulate the exemplary life of Jesus Christ who restored life to the world.
He explained that the resurrection of Jesus Christ cemented and restored the relationship between God and man and between man and man.
Popoola called on leaders to lead by example and let their action have impact on the people by creating jobs and giving scholarship to deserving citizens.
He also advised the people to honour and respect constituted authorities and condemned the rate of embezzlement in the country.
The Minister in charge of Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, City of Grace, Obbo Road, Ilorin, Rev. Kelechi Odii, who dwelt on the topic: “Jesus has risen.” noted that the supernatural power that raised Jesus Christ from death is the unstoppable power that liberates the people from death and sin.
Odii called on Christians to allow the power of resurrection to reign and rule over their life.
Pastor Felix Ogidan of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Greater Works Sanctuary, Fate road, Ilorin urged the faithful to use the period to seek God’s intervention on the way out concerning the current economic meltdown facing the country.
Also, Prophet Peter Oladipo of the C & S Movement Church, Ipetu-Igbomina charged Christians to desist from sin to enable the resurrection of Jesus Christ be meaningful in their life.
Also in her sermon titled: “Walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ,” delivered at the Trinity Household of Faith Church, Tanke, Ilorin, Pastor Bisi Olawuyi admonished Christians to be prayerful and conscious, while walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ in order not to fall into diverse trials, temptation and persecution for the end to be glorious.
Pastor Olawuyi explained that there will be different distractions, advising them to remain focused and let their words and actions bring glory and honour to the name of the Lord.
Pastor Taiye Aransiola of United Evangelical Miracle Church along Yidi Road, Ilorin in his message titled: “The first resurrection,” called on Christians to leave a holy life to resurrect with the Lord on the last day.
